                  Today is already day 13 of P90X: UNBELIEVABLE!!!

I woke up at 6:45ish this morning and got my day going. I made breakfast, which was the protein shake today.

                 Protein Shake: 

  • 1 cup low fat milk
  • 1 scoop protein powder (I use Whey Protein)
  • 1/2 cup berries
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1/2 cup ice
  • Put all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth!

I waited a little bit and then did my workout. I try to mentally prepare myself for each workout especially on Fridays because we just had such a long week. I love the Kenpo X workout, but some of the things frustrate me because I feel like I am not doing them right or I am not getting anything out of it. The workout is about 58 minutes maybe a little longer. One thing I love about all of the workouts is the fact that Tony Horton  really pushes you. I really feel like he is right there in my room telling me what to do! Plus, he is a funny guy this is really helpful. After the workout I needed to get ready because I needed to go to work from 11-3.

Once I got back home from work I made lunch. Lunch was Island Pork Salad. One nice thing is you can grill or bake the pork. The only thing I don’ t enjoy about making some of the food is all of the cutting. Today, I did not eat the salad for lunch I made it for dinner because Chris needed to leave for work and I happened to make dinner the day before. Dinner was Broccoli and Beef Stir Fry. I would have to say all the food I have eaten so far in this program is pretty good. I also ate almonds as my snack and a protein bar for my recovery after my workout. 

Doing all of this is going to be really hard. The upcoming weeks are going to be tiring and putting me in a lot of pain, but it will all be worth it in the end 🙂
