Today I have another Team Limitless fitness family transformation to share! Meet Jenna, a 24 year old mother who crushed a lot of self doubt and reclaimed her body back after having her son. Read her story below on how Jenna says bye to the baby weight and lost 32 pounds!

Tell us about your life before you started the programs. How did you feel about yourself and your body?

“Before I had my son I was always a very active person. In school I played sports all year round and even after I was out of school I was still running and would go to the gym. I was even on the treadmill up until I was 8 months pregnant! Regardless of how much I worked out before I had my son, I was still really scared that I would never have a nice, fit body again. After having him and seeing how much my body had changed, I was really overwhelmed with all the time and work I thought I was going to have to put into getting back into shape. Therefore, instead of tackling it little by little I pushed it aside and just focused on my new busy life. I didn’t feel good about myself.. I just covered it up with baggy shirts and forgot about it.”

What inspired you to change your life and begin your transformation journey?

“About a year and a half after I had my son, I had just about had enough of how I was looking AND how I was feeling. I wanted to be better. I had a friend who I kept seeing post on Facebook about Beachbody and how she loved it. Seeing her transformation pictures helped me understand why. She looked great! I wanted to look great again too and be a good role model for my son. So I contacted her for information on what she was doing and she now has me hooked! She is also my coach now :)”

What is the greatest challenge you faced before beginning the programs? How did the programs help you overcome that challenge?

“Well, once I realized that making time to exercise WASN’T as hard as I once made myself believe, I had one more obstacle to tackle.. my diet. I ate a lot of fried foods and unhealthy snacks.. and not in small quantities either. Even though I was starting to get back into exercising again, I still wasn’t getting the results and energy increase that I thought should be. So I looked into my diet and realized I needed to make some changes. I heard about Shakeology, but was always taken back by the price. I got a free week sample (that I stretched into 2 weeks) and loved it. I tried a few other cheaper products to see if that would give me what I needed and it just didn’t compare to what Shakeology offered. I have now been using it for a couple months now I can say that I don’t crave the junk like used to, which has helped me changed my diet around and eat healthy. I feel energized and healthy now!”

Why did you choose these particular programs?

“I started working out by doing a mix between Insanity, P90X, and 10 Minute Trainer workouts random days throughout the week. Then, I did the Insanity program, which I loved! Although, once I heard about Focus T25 I was immediately interested. A good, intense workout.. in 25 minutes!? That was a lot easier for me to fit in around my son and stepsons summer schedule so I was in!”

What in particular did you like about the programs you chose?

“Focus T25 is perfect! It gave me exactly what I needed, intensity and time wise, and in the amount of time I needed it to! As long as you followed the work out and diet as best as possible and also focused hard on the moves to do them right, you were destined to see results.”

Being a parent, how have you managed to balance everything?

“It’s hard sometimes but over time I realized how much better I was feeling, physically and mentally, I knew it was worth it.. not only for me! I just did my workout whenever I had a chance. When I’m doing my workouts my stepson (7 yrs old), and son (2 yrs old) try and do them with me! It makes me feel great knowing that I’m already inspiring them to be active.”

Describe the results you achieved with Focus T25. Which achievements are you proud of?

“With Focus T25 my biggest goal was to lose the fat, gain more muscle, and finally get my stomach looking great again. My husband and I would like to have more children, but there was no way I was letting that happen until I knew my body was as fit and ready as possible. This way I can continue to workout throughout my pregnancy with a good diet and this time keep with it AFTERWARDS! So, my biggest achievement I’d say is the set of abs I FINALLY can able to show off.. even though I had a baby!”

How has your life changed since completing your programs?

“I’m a lot happier.. with myself, with my life. I now know that anything I set my mind to I CAN do. I love being able to work out and still have plenty of energy for my kids, family, friends, and the duties of every day life. Completing the program and seeing what I can do has also made me want to help others and inspire them too. I’m excited for what the future holds!”

Did you participate in a Fitness Challenge Group?

“Yep! My coach Christine Russell invited me into her and her boyfriend’s Focus T25 challenge group, before that I was never in one.”

How did participating in a Fitness Challenge Group help you reach your goals? How did your group support you and keep you accountable?

“It was a great help to me! If I wasn’t a part of that group I would have been a little more likely to slack on the workouts. We supported each other on our good and bad days and shared tips to help each other improve. To know that I was a part of a challenge group helped me keep my head in the game. Also, I knew that I was going to be held accountable and I didn’t want to let them down.”

How did your FREE health and fitness Team Beachbody Coach support you on your journey?

“She was a part of our group that did the challenge together. Even though she was a little ahead of us, I saw her post every day about how she killed the workout and that pushed me to work just as hard. She kept me positive and kept pushing me do great when ever she could! I wouldn’t have gotten this far without her.”

How did the supplement or nutritional product or program (such as Shakeology®) support your transformation? What are the greatest benefits you gained? Did you see benefits to your energy, sleep, mood/mental clarity, digestion/regularity?

“Shakeology was definitely a big help in getting me the results I wanted from Focus T25. It really helped cut my cravings for unhealthy foods. Therefore, I was able to avoid those unhealthy food and add healthy ones into my diet. I also really realized after drinking Shakeology for a few weeks that I had more energy. Big bonus!”

What one piece of advice would you give to someone who is sitting on the sidelines wanting to start working out but is nervous or lacks the motivation?

“It’s perfectly normal to be nervous! Being nervous was what took me so long to start back up again having my son. Which I regret letting myself feel that way for so long, especially seeing how great I feel now. Nothing will change unless you make it happen!:”

What is one piece of advice would you give to someone who is in the process but is feeling discouraged?

“All GOOD things take time! Keep working hard and you will see results!”

You are my role model. your body (in pink) is exactly what i am looking for in myself. we have very similar situations also. i gave birth to my first born son in March of this year. he is now about 7 1/2 months old, and i am tired of the way i look. i’m too ashamed to even look in the mirror anymore, and the “love” between my man & I, hasn’t been so frequent lately either :(. please help me. provide me with a little direction so i can follow in your footsteps to a healthy fit body again.
    Any Advice is Welcome. 🙂
